Heat exchanger plates are the "heart" of plate heat exchangers and are thin metal sheets made through stamping processes. It is engraved with complex corrugated flow channels. Multiple plates are assembled and pressed together to form a complex network of mesh channels, allowing cold and hot fluids to flow in opposite directions in adjacent channels and achieve efficient heat exchange through the plates.
The plate serves as a solid interwall, separating two fluids of different temperatures and allowing heat to pass through the plate from the high-temperature fluid to the low-temperature fluid. The corrugated structure on the plate forces the fluid to constantly change direction and speed in the flow channel, effectively disrupting the fluid boundary layer and greatly enhancing the heat transfer efficiency. The plate itself has a certain strength and rigidity, and together with the compression plates on both sides, it bears the working pressure of the system. The gasket grooves on the edge of the plate ensure that the gasket is in place, achieving a reliable seal and preventing the mutual leakage or outward leakage of the two fluids.
